As part of the requirements for completing the Business Applications course,

each student is required to research

a publicly traded business organization and to

make a presentation to the class about this company.

Students can pick one company of their choice.

However, Mrs. Smith must approve their choice.

The company must have stock that is traded on the

NYSE, AMX, or NASDAQ.

Use the attached worksheet to complete the information

about the company. There are numerous resources on the

Internet to get the information you are looking for:

www.YahooFinance Good site for stock information, profiles

of companies and industry information.

www.Bigcharts.com. Another great site for stock information,

profiles of companies and industry information.

www.denverpost.com. Click on Business, click on stocks.

www. Businessweek.com. At this site you can search the

magazine’s archives for articles about the company you have chosen.

After you have accumulated your information:

v develop a PowerPoint presentation about your company – at least 11 slides

including a Works Cited Slide. Since you have completed the PowerPoint Unit,

I expect a presentation using graphics

( organization chart, stock price chart).

v Prepare a five-minute oral presentation about your company.
