Week of April 28th--All StudentsWeekly Update--Week of April 28th1) The end of the semester is upon us! Next week is the Sponsor Appreciation Ceremony. This is a REQUIRED event for ALL interns! Do not miss it or your grade will be greatly affected. Please make sure your parents and sponsors RSVP immediately. I need to know how many people will be there to have enough food and spaces to sit. 2) The final day for you to earn hours at your internship site is Friday, May 9th. Your portfolio is also due that day. If you are finished with your hours you are welcome to turn in your portfolio anytime before the 9th if it is complete. 3) Don't forgot to include the hard copy of your time sheets in your portfolio. Without these, I cannot give you credit for this class. If you have questions about what else needs to be included in your portfolio, please take a look at your syllabus. If you have questions, please give me a call. 4) I have two extra credit opportunities of you feel you need additional points for your grade. Please contact me if you are interested. 5) I will not accept any late portfolios. I need to have them on time so I can complete your grades in time for senior checkout. 6) Please make sure your supervisor knows when your last day will be. Don't just stop going to your internship. 7) Weekly question: Next semester there will be a new class of students in the Executive Internship Program. What kind of advice can you give these new students about doing an internship? For example: what can he/she expect from the program? How will he/she change? What are the good and bad aspects of being an intern? What have you taken away from this program?
