Week of April 7th--All StudentsWeekly Update—Week of April 7th1) If you have not yet sent the names of people from your site who you’d like to attend the Sponsor banquet, please do so immediately. Invitations are in the process of being mailed. 2) Due to the cost of the Sponsor banquet, you are limited to bringing only TWO (2) people from home. Please do NOT plan to bring your whole family. 3) Please read through your syllabus and get familiar with the assignments that are required of you to complete your portfolio. In the next week or two, you should ask your supervisor for a letter of recommendation. It may take him/her a little while to write the letter so give them plenty of advance notice. I will not accept late letters. In addition, you will also need to write your transcript summary and a thank you letter to complete your portfolio. 4) If you are going to be absent from your internship, make sure to call both your supervisor AND ME. If I do not hear from you, it is considered an unexcused absence. 5) Next week is the final field trip. We will be meeting at Denver Open Media on Tuesday, April 15th from 2-4:30pm. The address is: 700 Kalamath Street, Denver 80204. 5) Weekly Question: a) What has been the greatest challenge for you at your internship site this semester? b) What observations have you made this semester about the “World of Work” a.k.a “The Real World”?
