Week of February 4th--First Semester StudentsClass Update--Week of February 4th (6 items)1) Please turn in your class contract IMMEDIATELY. Make sure the back page is filled out completely and that you have attached your sponsor's business card. 2) There will be THREE scheduled field trips this semester and you will be required to attend TWO of them. The dates are: Wednesday, February 27th from 1-3pm at The Children's Hospital. The second field trip is: Thursday, March 20th from 10am-12:30 at the Denver Athletic Club. The third trip is still in the process of being scheduled, but will be in early April during the afternoon (after 2pm). Please put these on your calendars and begin to think about which ones you might be able to attend. 3) Your Learning Plan is due on February 24th. Please look at your syllabus for the assignment. If you have created this document with the help of your sponsor, you may turn it in early. 4) I am looking for students who are interested in working on a video production. I will need three students who would like to be on the "production crew" and three or more students who are interested in being IN the video talking about your experience at your internship. If you would like to help me create this video promo for the Executive Internship Program, please let me know in your weekly email. 5) Starting this month, I will be choosing a "Student of the Month". This student will have shown excellent progress at his/her internship during the month, turned in all four/five weekly reports, scored 85% or higher on each report, had good attendance and a recommendation from his/her sponsor. There will be a prize for the winner each month. In addition, there will be a "Student of the Semester" award given at our Sponsor Appreciation Ceremony on May 8th. 6) Weekly Question: a. What types of skills are necessary in the profession you are exploring? Which of these skills do you currently possess? What skills would you need to gain to move on in this profession? b. What is the best thing you have done so far at your internship site?
