Community College of Denver Scholarships - CCD offers several scholarships to students who qualify and apply in a timely manner. Although the deadline is in July, you should apply by January of your senior year. You only need a 2.5 GPA to apply for the First Generation and the Kingdom Enlightenment Scholarship for underrepresented groups. There are many more scholarships and only one application to fill out! You will find it on line at www.ccd.edu. Go to the Financial Aid link, then to Scholarships. Questions? Contact Scholarship Coordinator 303 556 2420. Denver Scholarship Foundation - for seniors who qualify for Federal Student Aid, have submitted a FAFSA application on line by March 15, have applied for at least three other scholarships, and will be enrolled in college at least half time. Please visit www.denverscholarship.org Deadline: March 31, 2009.
The Charter Fund - for Colorado residents who work during the summer, have applied to an accredited vocational or trade school, two-year or four-year college, and need financial assistance to attend college. The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)- The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is a program funded by the Office of Migrant Education of the U.S. Department of Education, and is administered by institutions of higher education.
CAMP is designed to meet the academic, financial, and social needs of migrant and seasonal farm workers and/or their children, in pursing higher education. While the program provides its most intensive assistance during the students first year in college, the CAMP staff is available to assist students throughout their college experience.
Who May Apply for CAMP's Scholarship? Any migrant or seasonally employed agricultural worker or his/her children who: * Has a high school diploma or GED and is either a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident and has one of the three following qualifications: * has worked a minimum of 75 days in agricultural work within the last 24 months , or * Is eligible or has participated in a Migrant Education Program under chapter I-Migrant Education, or * Has Participated in a WIA section 167 program.

What does the Scholarship include financially?

2009 International Scholarship Fund The International Scholarship Fund is designed to assist undergraduate students who originate from a country outside of the United States,have graduated from a Colorado High School,and have been accepted to an institution of higher education, but are not eligible for an in-state tuition rate. The scholarship is designed to cover the difference between in and out -of -state tuition, thereby allowing the student to pay resident rates. Scholarships are renewable pending successful demonstration of the criteria below. To be eligible for the International Scholarship Fund, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Originate from a country outside of the United States
- Have graduated from a high school in the State of Colorado
- Currently attend a college or university in Colorado or have an offer of admission
- Upon enrollment: maintain a full-time class schedule (12 or more credit hours/semester or complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in a Fall, Spring, Summer sequence)
- Maintain a satisfactory grade point average (minimum 2.5 on a 4.0 scale)
- Not be eligible for resident tuition rates or the Colorado Opportunity Fund (COF) stipend.
- Deadline: April 15, 2009

Daniels Fund Scholarship - Students must have a least a 17 on the ACt or an 810 on the SAT, be a US Citizen, and demonstrate financial need. Application deadline: December 10, 2008.
AXA Achievement Scholarship - for students who set and reach ambitious goals, demonstrate drive, determination and ability to succeed in college and who have respect for self, family and community. To learn more about AXA Achievement and to read about some past winners, visit www.axa-achievement.com. The application deadline is December 15, 2008.
Gates Millennium Undergraduate Scholars Program
Contact: Gates Millennium Scholars P. O. Applicant must have at least a 3.3 GPA and demonstrate community involvement. Although there are, no restrictions on major, nominators are asked to consider academic performance in math and sciences. Award: Program covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and living expenses not paid for by grants and scholarships already committed as part of the recipient’s financial aid package. Deadline: January 12, 2009.
Kaiser Permanente Diversity Scholarship - Must be a graduating high school senior, have a minimum GPA of 2.7, be
a Colorado resident. Applications are evaluated on
the following criteria: Academic Achievement,
Character Qualities, Community Outreach / Volunteering, Diverse
populations / Under-representation in health care & public health
professions, Financial Need, Health Care or

$1000 scholarship and can be used to attend any school (not just Princeton

Project Pave Scholarship - Project PAVE and the Janus Foundation partner to award scholarships
to graduating seniors who have shown resiliency and strength in overcoming
their own experiences with domestic violence, child abuse, teen dating
violence, and physical or sexual assault. These scholarships are awarded each
year in May and may cover the expenses of post high school educational
endeavors, including traditional universities, vocational programs, and other
certificate programs. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must
submit a 3 - 4 page essay and two letters of recommendation to Project PAVE by
February 1, 2009. In 2008, Project PAVE and the Janus Foundation were
thrilled to award $3,000 scholarships to twelve graduating seniors in our
community.

Applicant must be: a Colorado resident, frst generation student or
member of an underrepresented ethnic or racial minority, and/or show
financial need. Applicant must have a 2.8 GPA and demonstrate
leadership and community service-particularly within minority
communities, past academic performance, personal and professional
accomplishments, personal attributes, academic goals and financial need. Deadline: March 1, 2009.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Peierls Colorado Rising STar Scholarship
- open to Colorado Lationo U.S. citizens or legal residents with a GPA
between 2.5 and 2.99 who are participants in a pre-collegiate program:
AVID, Boulder I have a Dream, Byrne Urban Scholars, College Summit,
Colorado I Have a DReam, Colorado Uplift, CU Boulder Pre-Collegiate
