Equipment Updates 2007

The new studio is up and running! New goodies include: Digidesign Control 24, ProTools HD2 system, 10 channels of Grace mic pre's, 2 new Vintech x73i mic pre's, Millenia Media "The Origin" channel strip and a Manley Vari-MU stereo tube compressor.

Local recording engineer and columnist for Recording Magazine, Justin Peacock, did a superb job on the installation. Thanks Justin! He's also chairman of our Audio Engineering Advisory Committee.

Our vintage UREI compressors (2 LA4s and an 1176) have been recently checked and maintained by Al Baca at Pro Audio Services. Thanks Al !

We've also added an additional ACID station in Room 216 for lots of creative compositions by the Audio Engineering students.

The acoustic treatment of the main control room was recently completed with the addition of 3 REAL Bass Traps, 12 Auralex Wooden Space Array Diffusers, 4 RPG Skyline Diffusers and 6 LENRD Bass traps. The room sounds great and looks cool too! Thanks to David Soren at Audio Consultant Services.
