Audio Engineering News

News: The East High School Instrumental Ensembles recently released their latest CD "Get Off the Roof." The three CD set was produced and recorded at the CEC Sound Studios by students in the Audio Engineering Program. Recording took place over a two week period in December, 2006. The CD features performances by all of the East High School Instrumental Ensembles. This is the sixth East High School Instrumental Ensemble CD produced at CEC.

More News! Local jazz vocalist Joni Janak recently released her new CD "Always." We were excited to record Joni with pianst Ralph Sharon at the CEC Sound Studios. Ralph was Tony Bennett's accompianist for 40 years. Also on the CD with Joni and Ralph were Ron Moewes on drums, Dean Ross on bass, guitarist Ed Stephen and saxophonist Rich Chiarluce. Mr. Hall even got in on the act playing trombone on one song! Some great music and performances were recorded in these sessions! Mr. Hall engineered and mixed with help from Mr. Jolly. The CD was mastered at Airshow in Boulder by two- time Grammy Award winning mastering engineer David Glasser. The CD is available on Joni's website at www.jonijanak.com
